I was in the process of booking and it must have taken more than 18 minute, since I had to get my DH to agree, when I started typing in the card info it said I had 2 minutes but when I clicked complete it said it had been too long. I have been sitting at my screen ever since clicking refresh and it has not returned. I can't call II since they aren't open yet! Did I lose it somehow?

Never mind! It must have brought me luck to post this, since it reappeared right after I did, but that was about an hour later, not 18 minutes. Is there normally that kind of delay?

I have noticed that the unit sometimes pops up right away and sometimes much later. I think what is happening is perhaps someone else is putting it on hold right away also right after it shows back up. Or the II system is just glitchy. This is perhaps the more likely scenario.

I was wondering too if maybe someone else put it on hold. All that matters now is that you got it. The talk with the DH must have worked:) congrats! I had one disappear after I ran downstairs talked to my DH and poof Oyster Bay St. Martin was gone. Picked it up the next day. What did you snag?

I do not always talk to the DH. I call to return the week if I must. We have 24 hours to cancel the reservation. Snag first, talk later...lol

I picked up a July week at Grand Timber Lodge in Breckenridge. The talk went fine, but I guess I was just slow typing in the new credit card info! Everyone seems more excited than when I suggested Williamsburg, and while the kids and I would have been fine, DH was less than excited at the thought of Disney in August!

I think the website is glitchy too, since sometimes if I search using a map I find things that don't show up when I search all destinations.

Unless one is booking a getaway. I don't think there is a 24 hour cancellation on getaways, though the same type of 18 minute hold exists.

When a unit is placed on hold it takes about 25 to 30 minutes for it to pop up. It's not 18 minutes. If it took an hour it means a second person grabbed it for a hold and released it.
