Hey Everyone,

I wanted to get a bit of input from this community. I recently went through a timeshare presentation regarding the new Westin Nanea property being built on Maui. I can purchase a bi-annual week for about $32,000 plus MF. However, I don't really see the value in this deal. I am thinking about purchasing a bi-annual week in an ocean view two-bedroom villa in WKORVN on the resale market for about 1/3 of this cost. I know I will not receive any of the SPG points, but will still have the StarOption Points, right? What advice would you give? What questions should I be asking that I am not? Any owners at WKORVN?

I would consider WKORV South as well oceanview. I would consider Oceanfront on the South Property for every year use as they do not have EOY. I would not purchase the new resort directly.

I would also consider WKORVN Oceanfront you will get 177,000 star options for oceanfront vs oceanview for minimal price difference.

IMNSHO, at WKORV-NN, they just re-packaged the same old thing, put a new and improved sticker on it, and jacked up the price.

Buying a resale at WKORV, or WKORV-N is a far better value - especially Ocean View or Ocean Front.

Also - be aware the WKORV-NN is voluntary - that means that if/when you re-sell it, the new owner won't get Staroptions.

I expect that to hurt the resale value, just like it did at Westin Princeville.
