Westin Lagunamar StarOption availability 2/27-3/4/2019?

I was wondering if someone could check if there is availability to book the Westin Lagunamar with StarOptions for 2/27-3/4?

I'm seriously thinking about purchasing a Vistana Villages Bella platinum week with 81k mandatory StarOptions, but would like to use it in 2019 on a previously booked vacation to Cancun 2/27-3/4. I asked the owner (through a broker) if they would pre-reserve the dates for me but they are unwilling. Since I'm not an owner (yet) I cannot check availability. Can someone please check availability for me before I purchase?

I don't have staroption availability so can't check for you. However, I think it is very unlikely your plan will work. You'll need to have a deed signed by the seller and recorded, then sent to Starwood. Even if the closing company is very fast, I had a deed make it to Vistana on 11/28. I called to check regularly, and it wasn't available for my use until 12/27. Christmas was in there, but even if you agree to a purchase today I doubt you'd have access until after your trip has occurred. Or maybe a week or two sooner, when availability would almost certainly be gone.

No idea. I asked the broker if the owner would be willing to book once the payment is received, but haven't heard back yet.

Since you are still looking, chances would be very slim that you could get a week under contract, through escrow and transferred in to your name by Vistana in time to even go on a trip at the end of February. Inside of 60 days, availability shrinks fast, because Vistana can snap up unclaimed inventory and rent it out.
