Any owners/guests stayed at the Westin Lagunamar in Cancun. Going in May for first time. Please advise restaurant around the area? Things to do? How is the beach?

Last 2 Weeks at the Westin Lagunamar

Great stay - the last week was super windy. All staff are masked. Did the owner update for $175 resort credit. At the end of the presentation the "closer" was very rude and asked why we attended if we didn't plan on buying...... ummm then don't have your Concierge ask us to go multiple...

If you want to buy snacks or food for your Villa go to Soriano, which is a grocery store I. The Kulkukan Plaza. The market in the timeshare is very overpriced.

Harry’s
Puerto Madero
Rosa Negra
Funky Giesha
La Parrilla
Toro
Fred’s
You can google most of them and look at the menus. The majority are on open table. Enjoy

I've always felt the ocean was a little too rough at the Lagunamar location. Pools are nice, great views!

I can recommend Profirios. We really enjoyed it. Think contemporary Mexican. There is a mall right across the street from the resort with good restaurants for breakfast and some well known chain restaurants. For groceries you can walk to Soriano in about 15 minutes but you might want to take the bus or a cab back. The resort is in a great location. The beach is beautiful and swimming is allowed but the surf can get a little strong. There are always plenty of people swimming or paddling in the ocean.

thank you. we decide we can’t deal with too many in our 1 bedroom and the nightmare of fighting for bathroom in morning. so i book a studio for family member instead. we are staying sat to sat and family will stay at studio monday to friday. will the resort put us next to each other if we ask? if yes, to whom to make the request?

thanks. marriott usually send email 1 month before arrival but so far i haven’t received any email yet from westin. our check in is 4/9/22

do anyone have the concierge email so i can check available tours too? i google and found w email but it was undeliverable

@byeloe - Do you know if the resort is operating at capacity? Do pool chairs still get all snatched by 6 am? Thanks!

I think they are allowed to be close to capacity.
Prime seats around the main pool go early. We sat on that side for a few weeks but now we are sitting on the phase 2 side where plenty of seats are available up until 9 or later
