I just received an exchange into WKR and was assigned these letters as a room number. Can anyone tell me what they represent? HZZBB

I suspect you exchanged into a 2BR? If so, that is a good exchange. These don't show up in II all that often. There are no view designations at Westin Kierland Villas. You can be placed in any unit at the resort.

Code....Resort.......................View...Unit Description
ZZBB....Westin Kierland Villas.......N/A....2BR Unit that locks off in to two 2BR units
OBVI....Westin Kierland Villas.......N/A....1BR Premium portion of 2BR unit.
OBRS....Westin Kierland Villas.......N/A....1BR Standard portion of a 2BR unit.

Congratulations! Nice trade. Would you mind sharing what time of year you will be there?

Not sure about the OP, but we exchanged into a 2BR unit in July.

If you doing any pool days, you can rent cabanas. We found it quite handy last July. Dedicated lounge chairs, shade if you want, good service and water. I think ours came with a daily credit at the poolside grill.

If you go this route, you can reserve before you get there. At the "quite" pool, I suggest the cabana farthest from the lobby. There will be more poolside space. The one closest to the lobby was more cramped.

June. I hear it's going to be hot in Arizona that month.
Yes, June will be hot. If you want or need a break, take a day trip up to Sedona. It’s still hot, but a little cooler than Scottsdale and the drive through the Sedona area is beautiful. Plenty of good restaurants for lunch. You can also continue up through Oak Creek Canyon to Flagstaff, which will be cooler still.

But don't try it in a sub-compact rental car with 2 fully grown teenagers and limited AC (spoken from experience :))

That sounds like a great idea. Do I reserve through the consierge or directly to the front desk?

I believe the signs in the cabanas say to contact the concierge.

Concierge!
Book the cabanas early. They get reserved quickly. The ones located by the quiet "adult" pool seem nicer and get more staff attention and closer to the restaurant (quicker food and bevs). Stocked multiple times throughout the day with water and ice. Well worth it. Almost impossible to be out without the shade from the cabanas, and you avoid having to fight over shade under the larger triangle sunshade sail. Show up and leave when you want to and the cabana remains yours for the day.

Thank you all for your knowledgeable advice and experiences.. Most helpful.
