I am gifting a ten night stay for a honeymoon in May 2016. I booked it in the north section initially to avoid a parking lot view and now I am wondering if there is construction noise due to the new villas being built to the north of the resort? Any insight would be appreciated.

There is a large park/green belt between construction and the north phase, so it shouldn't be too bad:

We were in Building 7, with an ocean view recently and sitting on the lanai, you could hear construction, but it was not terribly loud. They did have one loud machine that was run sometimes, but we only heard it when we were outside on the lanai. Since we are engineers, we enjoyed sitting on the lanai and watching how they are building the place.

If you have an interior room, facing the pool or courtyard, you won't even hear it.

Thank you, I will keep the north section booking then, this is comforting to know!

We stayed in the North side of building 7 in Sept and like Gregb said, there was noise, but it was not too loud and not during the morning or eve when we sat on the lanai.

Practical response

For a Bride who had to do all the work and arrange and spend long sleepless nights arranging a wedding for numerous guests and others -- a quiet room where she can sleep in is best

For a Groom--who benefited by all her efforts and hard work--and suffers from a guys mentality -- A noisy room keeping her up all night may work best

So the question becomes--Who are you booking room for and for what purpose--the Bride or Groom

We are at the north side building 7 facing the pool (II exchange Island View) and if we hadn't seen it, we wouldn't have known there was construction going on. Even when sitting on patio.

Even on the other side of the building it wouldn't have bothered me.

Thanks I feel much better then, I will keep booking as is!
