Westgate South Beach, Miami, FL

We are looking at this resort to exchange into after a cruise. I can not find any current review information about this resort. Westgate South Beach was formerly the Coral Sands Resort. We are also looking at the Marriott's Vilas at Doral and Westgate Miami Beach and Newport Beachside Resort.
 
Better check reviews on Trip Advisor. They are all over the place. Sometimes it seems the reviews there are from people who stay in a T/S but think they ought to get full hotel resort services.

I thought that Westgate would have really made the Newport (Old Holiday Inn Newport Pier) into a real nice looking place. A drive by on A1A makes it look like they haven't done a thing to make it look better.....but the area is now loaded with Trump International and many other upscale resorts....the Newport looks old and ragged. It is in Sunny Isles...not a part of Maimi any longer. Close to Wolfie Cohens Rascal House, which is a pretty good deli...a better bakery...and long waits during lunch and dinner.

Pedro, the Westgate South Beach is not in Sunny Isles. That is Westgate Miami.

The one in South Beach is actually about 12 blocks from South beach, but looks decent in the website and is on a really nice beach.

There are also mixed reviews on this timeshare, but it seems to be better than the one in Sunny Isles.

I own 1/2 a week here (don't ask) and did alot of research. Check out Westgate South Beach online as well as The Coral Sands in South Beach. Alot of good pictures are available.
