Westgate River Ranch

I cant tell you much about the timeshare section there, but the last time we were there (+5yrs ago), that was a very small portion of River Ranch. My parents rented an RV lot for 3-4 mos every winter for over 15 years to stay in their motorhome at River Ranch. The winter after my Mom was placed into a care home my dad and sister flew down to get rid of the things dad had in storage down there. I'm not sure if they stayed in an efficiency unit of the motel on site or if it was a timeshare but they had a kitchen. My sister thought it was nice. There were lots of activities every day. It is a huge property, but out in the middle of nowhere. It was a good 20-30 minute drive into Lake Wales for shopping, dining or medical care. We drove down from Kissimmee a couple of times to visit Mom & Dad but could never understand why they chose that place to stay, it must have been the price!

We are here now. The timeshare units are HUGE. We are in a 2bed that is basically its own house. It has the studio with a bath and partial kitchen on one side and HUGE one bedroom with 2 full baths on the other side. It has a wrap around porch with rocking chairs. My 6 year old is having a blast. We are runners and were unaware of the KICCO wildlife management area before coming here. There is at least 18 miles of improved road (dirt road) that you can bike and or run on which is a BIG bonus for us. Please contact me with any questions
