• 360,000 platinum points for ODD usage years. Points become available January 1st, 2023.
• Accrual option available to use points in EVEN years:

• How Point Accrual Works​

  • Platinum Owners can "accrue" (rollover) unutilized Points credited during the current Use Term to the next succeeding calendar year.
  • Points can be accrued or rolled over before August 31 of the year the points were received.
  • Points can only be accrued (rolled over) one time.
  • 100% of all unutilized Points may be accrued if completed before the rollover deadline.
  • Points not accrued will expire at the end of the current Use year.
  • Utilization of accrued Points will have a 2 Months booking window restriction.
  • The deadline to accrue your points is August 31.
  • If choosing to roll over your Points, please be advised that these Points are subject to your restricted accrual booking windows of 2 Months.
• MFs due January 1st, 2023. Next will be due January 1st, 2025.
  • Amount for 2023 is $2,452
  • They do allow a payment plan for these - up to 4 quarterly or 10 monthly auto-payments, each with a $10 fee attached.
• 180,000 points gets a week in a larger 1-bedroom Villa. There are smaller 1 bedrooms for 120,000 points, and 2-bedrooms for 240,000-300,000 points. You can also use points for other Welk locations, 8 in total, and you're not limited to a week block (we used some in Branson for 3 nights in a 3-bedroom suite before and it was easy to do).
• Welk is transitioning to part of Hyatt Vacation Club

What we are asking

• $0 for the points
• Buyer pays all or some of the 2023 MF since they get all of the points for that year (make an offer!)
• Closing costs, negotiable & we're fine with using the title company of your choosing

Why we are parting with our points
We had high hopes for this, and like total amateurs bought from Welk vs resale. We just are not plan-ahead vacationers & never really got to know how to use the Interval International options etc to make the most of it. We hope it can make someone else happy )

Sadly, there have been other free offers from this resort this year. You might have to offer a free year - eat the 2023 MF - to get rid of it.

I figured it was worth a try, even if it was just a portion of the MF kicked back. If I don't get any bites my in-laws might use at least some of the points this year then I'll try again. Or maybe later in the year the sting of having to eat the MF will wear off a bit.
