Welk Resorts deedback program - Get rid of your unwanted Welk resorts Timeshare

TRUE! and they charge over $1500 if you want to "give back" your ownership
Certainly not good, but it is better than getting scammed by some exit company for thousands more.

Hyatt Vacation Club exit program? Has anyone had success with an exit strategy from HVC with Welk - I have a Platinum Point overlay with deeded week on Indian Land at Desert Oasis, Cathedral City, Calif. 120,000 points every year.

See below for info I received from HVC Owner Exit Services. This is my second email in two months. Also sent an email this afternoon to Marriott Vacations Worldwide customer.advocacy@vacationclub.com; resale.operations@mvwc.com
Appreciate any information that anyone can share!

Subject: RE: HVC EXIT INQUIRY
Good day,
Unfortunately, we would not be able to assist you with exiting. Currently we do not have exit options and we do not have hardship programs. Any exit options, if any, are at the discretion of the company and can change at any time without notice.
If you are wanting to exit the ownership the way to do so would be externally. Again, at this time we do not have an exit option that we would be able to assist you with. We have registered your interest, so if an option becomes available, we will let you know. If you cannot afford the payment it does go into default, and they would take it away from you for non-payment..
We cannot recommend any external brokers to you as we have no way of monitoring them. The only advise we do give would be not to give brokers money up front, commission or fees should be gathered once sold.
I apologize I could not be of more assistance, but this is the only available information we have at this time

well at least they warn you against upfront fee companies.....

have reported this disappointing response to ARDA, since they still promote Hyatt as having an exit program on the responsible exit page.

Owner Exit Services
They actually have a department called "Owner Exit Services" yet they offer no such service? Perhaps they only take back stuff if it is valuable to them and they don't want the junk?

Very disappointed. I bought Welk Desert Oasis deed (yep maybe a little junky) in 2007 and have used for some great trades with Interval International exchange thru the years. My best bet is to continue to send emails every 3-6 months to 'HVC Owner Exit Services'. And I am looking forward to response to my email sent today to MARRIOTT VACATION WORLDWIDE. It was a little spicey in a nice sorta way - lol.

Thank you Brian. I will also keep emailing both Hyatt Exit and their parent Marriott Vacation Worldwide. Squeaky wheel in motion!

have not heard of any change in this, but it costs you nothing to call or email and ask.

At one point I was trying to get them to "buyback" my ownership What it actually is - it is a "give back" program and you need to pay huge fees for them to do so. and they only allow a certain number per year. stinks pretty much

Brian, I just posted on another thread. And would love your insight on what I can do with my deeded HVC desert oasis week.
Would you please review my thread and give me some advice? I have legal plan at work that I never used. And I’m thinking about seeing if someone will take this case on.
