Can you please tell me if I have the phases ranked correctly from newest to oldest?

Can you count on being placed in the phase on your II confirmation?

Welk Resort Mountain Villas - WMS

Villas on the Green - VLW & VL2

Welk Resort Villas - LWR & LW2

Thank you!

Can you estimate how old Villas on the Green are?

The reviews are really mixed for the resort - what do you think about the Villas on the Green as far as freshness/upkeep?

Which phase would be better for a family with an active Jr. High boy - i.e. - closer to the pools?

Well, Villas on the Green is much closer to the Boulder recreation pool area, much more kid oriented (too noisy for me). I didn't like it h when I toured it as much as the older villas, which are definitely within walking distance of Boulder pool complex (depending on how independent your son is). Mt. Villas has a shuttle that runs back and forth. It is more separate from the other two areas and up a hill (ie the "mountain"). I don't know for sure, but I would think you would get whatever Welk area you picked from II as that is how it would be deposited.

We stayed in Villas on the Green in June and loved them. I don't think they can be any older than 10 years maybe. They look very new and nice, including inside the units, the landscaping, and the building exterior. The Villas on the Green all surround Boulder Springs area. A 12 year old boy would definitely want to be using the pool areas of Boulder Springs (Villas on the Green), or Mountian Villas. MV are beautiful, and have a great pool area, but they are not walking distance to any other part of the resort. In Villas on the Green you are in easy walking distance to the Resort Villas rec areas (but you wouldn't have much need to since the rec area there is much nicer), theater, convenience store, gift shop, the hotel lobby with free hot beverages, the 2 restaurants, and the catch and release fishing pond. Villas on the Green is where I would choose to stay with a 12 year old boy.
