Welk Platinum Points

When I get ready to deposit points into Interval should I reserve a week with Welk prior to the deposit or can I even do that if I own "points"? I do not have a fixed week.

You have to call Welk and ask them to deposit a week into II. If you want a specific time of year or week, you can ask for that to be deposited, but I discovered that for example, asking for a July week to be deposited for a 2009 week, required me to prepay fees in June of 2008.

I just deposited a points week in II thru Welk. They gave me a 2008 1 BR Branson Week 29 along with an AC and deposited both into my II account immediately. The trade window for the Branson week is until July 2010. I saw them posted in my account within 5 minutes after they said and the Branson week is seeing some really good possible trades including 2BR units at other resorts. Not bad for 120,000 points, IMO.
