Do think that the ARP issue (doesn't work) with MB resorts will be addressed in the near term? Thanks.
Did you test it since the update? It seems to be working for me now.

Is it just me or did we lose the ability to actually type in a location such as a city/state for example? I typically search via my state, Delaware - to check local resorts within a 250 mile radius of where we live. I can no longer type in a city/state - I can only choose either a resort name (finally), or an existing region. Is it just me? Since my region, the Mid-Atlantic region, doesn't exist in the regions list - this proves to be inconvenient as now I have to search using either Northeast or Southeast - and I end up getting a bunch of resorts I'm not interested in seeing.

Mine still gives the option to search by city.

It also still allows for searching by state.

At least kind of. I can't search for Delaware either, or Iowa (but there is noting in Iowa). A few others I tried worked as expected. One think I might suggest is for people to delete any and all cookies associated with Wyndham. I had to do that just to get the login text boxes to render. I have honestly had fewer issues with the site then I was expecting.

Perhaps they are now only allowing states to be chosen that actually contain Wyndham resorts? I'll have to run a test in Incognito Mode and see what I see.

It looks like they've taken away the ability to search either a city or a state where there isn't a resort location. Perhaps the biggest, glaring example of how this can take us backwards is if you try to search for Washington, DC - which you now cannot do. You can search for Alexandria or Virginia where you'll get Alexandria, or Maryland where you'll get National Harbor, but there doesn't appear to be a search where you'll get both together (when in many cases you may want to compare availability or cost between the two in the same search). This is even sillier given the fact that in the print directory, they're grouped together under "Washington, DC" and you won't find them under either Virginia or Maryland. 🤦‍♀️

I do like the regional searches, but the state and city searches may have been made too limiting.

I used the map to check on inventory for Avon. The map wouldn't show the CO resorts at all. I guess they need to fix it again.

I have been looking for Newport, RI. They are sold out for my dates, but it is suggesting other (reasonable places) now (before the suggestions were silly (CA, AZ, etc).

If instead, I try New Hampshire (which has no timeshares), it gives me a regional dropdown, I select Northeast, and I am offered the same options as (sold out) Newport, RI did.

Is that so bad? Not great, you need to know what area you are searching for... Sorry to bring up pre-voyager, but we used to be able to search within a given mile radius from any city/state. We could say within 50 or 100, etc...

Maybe the dates or you need to clear cache (try incognito) are tripping you up?

I typed in avon

At least I got it working now.

Previously just after the upgrade, for me at least, the regional search was not popping up when I tried searching, and when you hit the search button, nothing happened.

Where is the button for accessible?

On the dashboard view it is as before under the location box, to the bottom left.

On an existing search already completed it is on the filter option in the top right.

On an individual resort search it is in the same place as well.

Yes, I was able to confirm that with this change Wyndham had to move away from using the Google API to their own custom API against the back end database for searching. This is how they were able to bring back the regional searches - as these search indexes are now being maintained to offer sufficient search performance while searching against larger regions - which was always really slow back in the Voyager days. With the loss of the Google API - we lost the ability to search via cities/states/zip codes for example - and the custom API only allows for either resorts or state level at most - and only if there's a Wyndham or Worldmark resort in that state.

From what I understand, the mobile app will allow for nearby search functionality, coupled with the website implementing a recent search to make it easier to get back to your go-to frequent searches - but not until Q4 timeframe (subject to change). Hopefully, I can leverage the existing saved searches feature to help in conducting my “standard search” scenario via two different saved searches until the new features/app are available late this year.

So this morning I got a notification that the Worldmark site also has a larger outage window announcement on the same day - 6/24 - from 8:00 PM PT to 4:30 AM PT - or from 11:00 PM ET - 7:30 AM PT. Since the Worldmark and CWP systems share a common back end - I'm guessing the CWP system outage is simply because they are taking the back end offline for updates and therefore the CWP system is only a two hour outage window (the time window for the back end changes) - whereas the Worldmark outage window is 8.5 hours. I'm 90% certain this means there's no actual changes for the CWP website/system - it's entirely dedicated to Worldmark system changes that require both back end and front end changes.
MOVEit posted vulnerabilities that many companies patched this week. That's my two cents

At 11 am, still down!

Please be assured, I don't intend to make this a quasi hourly update!

My sentiment is a mix of amused and amazed. Like others here, I work in IT. The sheer incompetence of Wyndham IT is amazing, if one of the systems I'm accountable for was down this long, my job would be at risk....
Frank,
No worries with Wyndham IT losing their jobs. It seems IT creates a need for Wyndham to keep them. Without competent IT who would we count on to fix all the bugs and glitches created after each upgrade of the system? :wall:
