We Asked 3 Plumbers to Name the Best Dishwasher Detergent They All Picked the Same One

I wonder how these compare to Costco Kirkland brand. Anyone have any ideas. We usually buy Costco brands because they are good quality. However, will buy a name brand item if it is much better.

We have good luck with Finish Quantum pods thrown into the bottom of the dishwasher instead of placed in the auto cup. This dishwasher we have is an energy saver, really finicky type, that we will never purchase again.

I switched to the Costco brand a few years ago when their magazine ran a story about how they had been reformulated to reduce the film that appears on glassware in locations with hard water. (We have a softner but our water has lots of minerals and is very hard.) I've seen a huge difference and wouldn't switch back to one of the name brands.

I just bought the Costco brand and to be honest I am not really happy with it. I normally use Finish but think I will try the Cascade

My dishwasher is smelling awful on the inside. I am going to try Cascade but our son told me to run a few cups of Clorox Bleach through it to get it smelling clean again. May do that. I use Costco's Kirkland brand of pods.

I actually started a thread on my brand new stinky dishwasher several years ago. A Tugger reccomended Glisten and it worked very well. I bought a two-pack off Amazon and used the second bottle last year, and I see I have a new package held in abeyance under the sink waiting for a whiff of stink.

I just discovered that the Commander in Chief uses Finish Max all in One in the dishwasher.

Most dishwashers have a hidden filter on the inside somewhere in the tub area. Suggest you find it and either clean it or replace it. It "may" be the cause of your odor on the inside.

Who anointed these three plumbers the world authorities?

Cheers

so, DH really liked the Cascade complete. I got a Walmart knock off--he said it's quite good--for 1/2 the $.
