Hello, fellow East Tennessee'r. We typically go to Park City or Breckenridge (MVC properties) to escape the summer heat and humidity. Lots of outdoor activities and adult entertainment at both. Plus, there are great day-trip with both. We've got South Lake Tahoe on our to-do list.

OK, we are going to try the Marriott Summit Watch in Park City, UT. It looks like a "really" nice place to visit. We *may* fly into Las Vegas, and stop at Zion National Park on the way up. We chose Summit Watch due to it's location on Main Street. I put in a request through I.I. with our Branson week. I think we stand a good chance in getting our trade. Any thoughts? Must do's in the area, etc.? Thanks everyone, for your feedback. It is much appreciated.

This is a great hike that @Fairwinds recommended to me a couple years back ....suitable for all....

Although its not that far as the crow flies, it was about a 55 mins or so drive from Park City to the Brighton Ski resort where the trail head is. The last 20 minutes or so is a beautiful drive up the mountain. Its worth the drive, and the hike was excellent.

Zion is our favorite national park. A must do is the “Narrows” hike. You’ll need to rent waterproof boots and hiking sticks at the park. Take the first shuttle in the morning and get out there early. The hike takes you through a canyon and a lot of the hike has you traversing a stream/river. The landscape is amazing.

In park city we enjoyed getting a pass at deer valley to ride the lifts up/down the mountain and then you can hike to the summit.

Sounds awesome! We went to Zion for the first time this fall, and LOVED it! It. Was. Amazing. This is one of the reasons that we want to go back to Utah. We were there for one day, and took the shuttle with bikes to the top of the road, and then rode (coasted) downhill back to the entrance. So many photo ops! We are hoping to take a day trip back to Zion. Maybe we can do the Narrows. :--)

Park City is awesome in the summer. Lots of outside stuff to do in the area.

We are beach people for sure, go to Aruba every summer. Last summer we ended up going to Park City in addition to Aruba. Loved it. The weather was beautiful, lots of restaurants have 2 for 1 deals and riding the ski lifts were fun. My kids are adults, 22,28 and 30 and DIL 30. Happy they occasionally still travel with us. Husband and the oldest son played golf. I did river rafting with the others. . We stayed at Marriott Summit Watch, could just walk everywhere. I definitely want to go back. My youngest did get high altitude sickness but we did everything wrong. (too much beer and straight to the highest point to hike, very poor planning, lol!). A week there would be too long IMO but 3-4 nights perfect.
