Anyone have a discount coupon for Lowe's that they are not using? Or, know where I can get one? We are going to do a kitchen tile project. Lowe's used to have a discount coupon in the packets you get from the post office when you move, but not any more! Help please!

Sherry: I just processed a change of address for our next door neighbor and I believe Lowe's was one of the coupons that we could have gotten. I'll check into it later this afternoon to see if I can still see it. She didn't want any of the coupons, so we didn't print any off at the time I did the change request for her yesterday afternoon. CALL ME!!!!

If unable to find one you can always buy them off of EBay cheap.

Lowe's and Home Depot always give a 10% veteran's discount.

Not sure if proof is required, but my DF always shows his USN retired card and there are no questions. You could check with the store to see what they require.

The 10% moving coupon can be had at the price of setting up a new email. Set up a new email then google lowes moving and get one sent to that email. It does take a couple days.

You need proof of service. Either a military or dependent ID card or another type of proof of service such as a DD214 or discharge certificate.

Thanks! No vet in my household. I did try the sign up for a move. We will see if it works!

I just tell them I have a 10% coupon at home, but forgot to bring it with me. If you have enough stuff in your cart, they'll just give you 10%. This works every single time for me.

You can also get 10% Lowe's coupons from just about any Realtor.

Several times when DF asked for the discount and offered his ID card, they said it wasn't necessary and he was given the 10% off. So, it is "required", but not always "needed" as it's not always verified.

A lot of it depends on where you live.

Where I'm at, I have to show my ID card every time I purchase something at Lowes or HD. Then they need to get a managers override. Even those in the Fayetteville NC area (Ft Bragg) are required to show proof but the cashiers don't need a manager override like we do here because of the large military presence in the area.

Interesting. Here in New England (speaking for Massachusetts and New Hampshire) we've had to show his ID for about 75% of the time and the other 25% was "I believe you"(from the cashiers) when he offered to show it.

Never had to get an override as the cashier just punches in some code and the 10% discount is entered.

Bucky, thanks for the info as we travel through your area at times and this is good to know.
