WalMart Cancun Hours Easter Sat and Sun?

We'll be getting into Cancun about 5pm on Easter Saturday (Easter Eve), so going to WalMart then will interfere with my time at the swim up bar at the Westin Lagunamar (inside Starwood joke for the rest of you). Anyone know if WalMart will be open on Easter? In the US they are usually NOT open on Easter, but this is a tourist place during spring break, so maybe the rules will be different. Thanks for any info anyone has!
 
You're joking, right? Walmart doesn't exist simply for tourists. Its a store in a highly Catholic country. I strongly doubt it would be open on Easter, which is a huge religious holiday in Mexico.

But you could always ask on a Cancun BBS or on Walmart's Mexican website if you can find it.

OK, I just Googled, and found this website for Walmart Mexico, in English. It has a "contact us" link at the top of the page

Gracias. I realize Mexico is quite Catholic and Easter is a huge holiday. But one can hope. Guess we'll head over there Monday morning to get our groceries. I'll send them a note and see what they say.
 
The only days that Walmart alters its normal schedule is on Christmas Eve (they close early) and Day (they open later--10 I think) and the same New Year's Eve and Day. They do this because people celebrate the "Eves" and not the Days.

Easter is not a biggie here. No schedule changes.
 
Easter is not a big holy day in Mexico -- but Good Friday is. Everything will be open on Sunday. The only day where there may be some minimal closings is Good Friday.
