VSN - Sheraton Vacation Club//Westin Vacation Club MERGE with Marriott Vacation Club (Q1 2022)

Good evening all. We just went to an owners update in Palm Springs. They were adamant this merger was taking place (within the next 90 days) and the "ONLY" way we would be able to take advantage of the merger was to BUY into the " WESTIN FLEX (WF)" program...The sales person stated: "if we buy into the WF program all our other properties (407,000 StarOptions) will be taken into account when the merger happens"...We are 4 star Elite members in the VSN. I asked to see anything in writing stating this fact. Nothing could be provided. Needless to say we left the update with our gift cards :)

Has anyone been spun up with the proposed merge? Can anyone point us in the right direction to get more details?
