I actually owned there at one time, bought unseen, ended up only used for trading so gave it away in the Tug Marketplace. I paid closing costs.
This is what I know. The one bedroom units are small, with kids reviews say too small. Is it a 2 bedroom? if it is a 2 bedroom it will have a great view. One bedrooms might have no view, depends on unit number. It is an older resort that shows its wear in the units but they have recently updated furniture and have renovations planned. I assume the units look better as the RCI rating has gone up from 3 1/2 to 4. The location is great. The pool area is small, off the parking area but has shade overhang.
Basically you are getting it for free because the $800 includes MF and transfer, which is the right price. I gave away an early winter week. Being it is week 51, when you no longer want it you should be able to find a home for it.
I am not sure there will be enough for the kids. There is another resort Hideaway Sands Resort that I use to own at, south from Voyager, border of Treasure Island, St Pete’s. The resort is on the water. The waterfront units are studios but they have two bedroom townhomes, no water view but steps to the beach, plenty of room for your family. Voyager it is a little of a hike even though beachfront. You can call the resort Hideaway as the for sale list online is owner sales. The HOA has another that only visitors see but if you call they will let you know if they have the week you want available. In the past very reasonable. This resort is modest too but more updated plus the pool area is more inviting for kid friendly but it is centered in the resort not beachfront.
In RCI a 1 bedroom week 51 Voyager that falls out Christmas week will get you 33 tpu, if it doesn’t fall out on Christmas 25. A 2 br 36/27. Only August weeks are showing as available to trade into between 23 and 24 tpu.
