so we have a bonus week vacation and an a/c to use and are thinking of virginia beach in october. wondering what the weather is like at that time of year and if swimming and sun bathing is possible.... so any information on the above would be appreciated.
thanks

Oct temps are high 60's - low 70's and definitely no swimming unless the TS has a heated pool. If you get an usually warm day, sunning might be possible if there is no wind. But no crowds !!!

Not sunbathing, unless its an "Indian Summer" my grandma called it when we had unseasonably warm weather. Its usually cooler/rain occasionally and very unpredictable weather. If you go make sure you go in early October, and the place you stay has an indoor pool.

The close the outdoor pools mid-October at Marriott Manor Club - it's about 30 min from Virginia Beach. In the right weather, I do like Virginia Beach.
