Recently, restaurant.com gift certificates changed from expire in one year of purchase to never expire. In addition, they have upgraded their web site to automatically keep inventory of the gift certificates after you use them. Great improvement.

However, the older coupons that supposedly expired are not shown. Being curious, I went to my confirmation e-mails from a few years ago and found some GF's that I never used. To my surprise, I could pull them up and print them with the terms of use stating never expire. So, if you kept your old e-mails I suspect you can resurrect the ones you thought were lost.

Also, I clicked on some that I know I used and was taken to their home page instead of the print page. Give it a try.

I found some "expired" ones in my restaurant.com account, reprinted them, and they no longer have an expiration date.

Once owned these: FirstFairway@Walden X 2; Lawai Beach; ManhattanClub; PuebloBonitoRose; 4 South Africa--now timeshare-free

Possibly not. I had bought a certificate a few weeks ago for a local place and when we got there we saw a sign by the register that said they didn't honor Restaurant.com certificates anymore. It was a small burrito place and the girl at the order counter said they didn't honor them any more because of some dispute they had with Restaurant.com. She said she would give us 20% off our order that day, though.

You probably already know that if you notify restaurant.com they will refund the certificate.

I've been very happy with restaurant.com. Any time I had an issue they were prompt to take my call and resolve any problem.

Plus they will give you credit for a certificate you bought within the last 90 days if you do not use it. Nice way to buy a few extras for a trip and then return for credit the ones you do not use.
