Have you contacted those resorts directly to inquire about “deedbacks”?

Policies and practices (and fees) regarding “deedbacks” can and do change, so it would surely be best to get current and accurate information “straight from the horse’s mouth”. A phone call costs you nothing. Good luck!

P.S. Aren’t these VRI-managed properties? You already know that VRI is now owned by Capital Vacations; CV does have a “deedback” program (it is not cheap, but it exists). That phone call would get you more info and details.

They are or were VRI managed properties but since VRI was sold to Capital things will change. Capital says they now own a controlling interest in the resorts
Tryin to get information on deed back. Capital wanted me to suspend thousands and maybe I could deed back. Resort not helpful yet.

IIRC, Capital charges (or did last reported here on TUG) something like $420 plus 2X annual MF fees. I haven't read any updates, but expect this to increase. It always does.

I used to own two VRI resorts. It was a great company. Not such a fan of Capital. Best of luck.

Not such a fan of Capital.
“Not such a fan” is by far the kindest and most charitable thing that I have ever seen expressed by anyone regarding Capital Vacations. ;)

I am ending my ownership with Villas at Poco Diablo because I found a taker. I signed the last papers today and had them notarized. I had looked into the deedbsck program with Martin the manager, and he gave me the information. He said it requires board approval. My suggestion is to give your unit sway to a taker, pay all fees w TL Transfers, and the first years MF for the new owner. My entire process only took a few weeks.. two to weeks to find a taker! Loved the villas and my 40 years of TS ownership, but I was happy to move on. Not so happy with some of what I saw with CV. Martin the manager has been a big help over the years. Good luck.

How did you find a taker? And who is Martin affiliated with. I’m looking to sell my ownership as well. Thanks.
