Video Review: Marriott Grande Vista

We checked into a 3BR in building 82 this afternoon and I see what you mean about how dark it is. There used to be lights on the ceiling fans in the bedrooms but no more. Just bedside lamps, which aren't very bright. Our unit is looking a bit 'tired' and could use a refresh, but not bad. We seem to be missing a couple of things, like a pitcher, and the Do Not Disturb sign... maybe they don't have them anymore?

I finally got around to watching this video! Glad that you enjoyed the resort. I've gone at least once per year the last 3 years and it's where we've been spending Christmas week. The fishing is really good (my nephew is obsessed with fishing). Also the paddle boats are for rent, not free.

Recently back from a late April stay here, we were also in the same 2 BR floorplan, West Village Bldg 78 on the 4th floor.
Great resort and unit, I'm a little disappointed that we didn't spend more time at the resort ... but it was our first time in Orlando and there's so much to see and do!

As for (very) minor quibbles ...
I second your observation about the unit lighting, very odd to have no overhead lights. Don't understand the spotlight over the TV nook in the bedrooms.
Could that closet in the toilet area be the result of a bathroom re-model? Perhaps the master bath previously had a tub? That's the best explanation I can come up with for such an odd arrangement.
I also found the thermostat to have a mind of it's own (tending towards too cool). The master bedroom vents were also situated where the air blew right on the bed.

Yes there used to be a tub and it was replaced by the large shower.

The large shower could have been spectacular, like the ones they have at Marriott's Surfwatch. Those were fantastic showers, but Marriott did a stupid giant shower at Grande Vista with a bench that is miles from the shower head. So strange.
