As you approach the exit to the resort on highway 200 in Nuevo Vallarta, there is a huge sign with a capital V and the words, Vidanta World.

Laughingly reminded me of Wally World from the National Lampoon’s movie, Vacation. Very tacky.

Maybe the Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta theme park will get (again) renamed one day-

So far :
Cirque du Soliel Theme Park
Celebrate Park
The Park
Vidanta World

I kind of like the name "Vidanta World "
- it both states the obvious and is a bit of an inside joke for long time owners - who have regularly been to presentations.

I am not sure how the "Vidanta World" name will resonate with the Mexican Nationale clientele, who I believe will be the linchpin to the success of this multi $ billion dollar construction project.
The big payoff is if the various parks that will comprise the complete VW complex result in year round high occupancy in the connected Vidanta resort infrastructure and NV-PV in general

If so - then my VF week will be rentable for big bucks / and the sales promises will have included no untruths.
LOL

Hadn’t thought about the VW monicker for the place before. My dad used to have a beetle; might have been hecho en Mexico, too.

Well, I have always called the whole conglomerate Mayan World. When we first bought it was Vidafel, then Mayan Resorts (included Sea Garden, Mayan Palace, & Grand Mayan), once they added Grand Bliss, Grand Luxxe, and Estates, it now it is Vidanta.

Like many others, I call Walmart "Wally World:" - I forgot about the movie. :)

Actually, living in the DC metro area and being retired Navy, to me “Wally World” is what NNMC Bethesda became when the Army took over and named it Walter Reed.

BTW Tom, La Barra across the street from MP marina has permanently closed. And Victor’s while still open and busy, the old gentleman has passed away (November).
