Several weeks back I posted about buying a Platinum Oceanside Barony Beach week. It looks like we're moving along, but the closing company has been slow and often unresponsive. They tell me that they have sent the deed to recording and that takes at least 4 weeks to get back and then the closing company will notify marriott of the transfer. If the broker and the closing company didn't have some positive reviews online, I'd really be sweating it right now about whether I'd got swindled out of a fair bit of $. I'm cautiously optimistic that all is well and that eventually I'll own at Barony!! :)

You can look online at the county recorder to see if your deed has been recorded and when. I don't know how long it takes the county to mail it back to the closing company, but I wouldn't think longer than a week.

Who did you buy from?

Excellent....one more question/Suggestion....has the broker gotten your drivers license and current marriott owner number from you if not the transfer process once received by marriott will be delayed. You should give them your current owner number or they may set up a new one and then you will have to have marriot correct it, so you might as well try to get it right the first time.....
