Very new - need some Hyatt advice!

Hi,

I'm brand new to this forum and also a bit confused about how our (relatively) new timeshare works!

We have week 5 at the Hyattt Grand Aspen, CO. As we are from Australia (and the trip over is a bit of an ordeal) we normally supplement this with an owner discount week and a use our CUP points to book a week at another ski resort.

This year we have stuffed up and forgot to book the extra CUP week. We were looking to find a week in either Lake Tahoe, Beaver Creek or Breckenridge (week 4). However, now the reservation page is showing no availability. I have wait-listed at each resort.

I should also add that we have booked a week (HRPP) in June of 2013 that we have almost no intention of using. So I don't know whether this might be useful in exchange with someone (I have no idea how that works).

I was hoping for some advice as to what my next move should be (or what I should be reading!) to improve my chances of securing that extra week in another resort.

You are right, that is one LONG flight. As I don't own or visit the area/resorts you own with, you might look into exchanging into the area verses trying to do a direct owner trade.

Keep reading ... it will take awhile for all this timesharing info to be learnt.

Thanks - any advice as to what I should be reading (relevant to The Hyatt program)?
