I recently received an email from Verizon regarding their Travel Pass. It seems like a good deal for our upcoming trip to Mexico. They offer a daily rate and a month-to-month. I need to get more info on the monthly, make sure it can be cancelled at will, but that seems like a very reasonable way to go. In the past we have been able to add Mexico to our plan but it only included phone - no text or data.

Curious if anyone has done this. Here is the link http://www.verizonwireless.com/landingpages/international-travel/

We added an international plan in September for our visit to Cancun- I don't think Verizon had named it Travel Pass at the time. It was $5 a month and we were able to set it up to automatically end at the end of our billing month. We had no problem at all and are now trying to set up a similar plan for our Aruba trip- which appears to be $40 for international service other than from Canada and Mexico. We would normally FaceTime family back in the States while on Wifi at the resort but Mom doesn't have a smartphone, so the 100 minutes was perfect for us just to stay in touch.
