Any product used to vape anything is illegal in Mexico. Articles say its just the sale of vape products but in real life situations at the airport customs , anyone caught with any vape products are penalized and can end up in jail.

Just a heads up.

Smart people.

Yes let's encourage use of Tabacco. While there are issues with Vapes thy are nowhere as antihealthy as cigarettes. I do not need to hear about all the issues of 5 to 10 years ago. Those were the days of lots of people making them in the garage or basement. And using such horrible oils as Vitamin E Oil. Vitamin E Oil is good if consumed orally or with food. It is not when sucked into your lungs. While my Doctor would prefer I get off vapes he is very happy I do not use Tabacco.

and just because weed is legal where you live - don't bring it on vacation as the laws are different.
My pure guess is this is part of the all out ban. Many using vapes are smoking THC concoctions that are hard to distinguish from flavored nicotine cartridges, especially by visual examination. Marijuana and THC are certainly not legal in Mexico.

That doesn't stop Americans from trying to buy them when they get there. Take a guess on how that turns out sometimes.

In Mexico, herion, cocaine and weed are legal for personal use. It wouldnt be a good ideal to go through Mexican Custom with these drugs to find out, imo.

I was talking to a couple that had a tabacco vape pen and were caught up in Mexican Customs. They said the fine is $4000 USD and or up to 8 years in jail. When they said they couldnt pay $4000 they were offered an option to pay cash. They paid cash and signed some official paperwork. It took over an hour of time just for the vape pen.

Moral of the story is dont bring a vape device to Mexico.

Tobacco is such an addiction. My adoptive dad had emphysema and wouldn't give up his cigarettes. He died at 62. It was a devastating loss. Rick's dad had COPD and wouldn't give up his cigarettes. He was almost 74 when he died. My mom gave up cigarettes after smoking 30 years and still died of lung cancer 16 years later at 65 years old. Rick's mom died at 71 of emphysema.

Ahhh, the old "the fine is $$$$ but if you give us $ in cash right now you're good to go" trick. My freshman year in college myself and some other members of the surf club were driving through Baja on our way to go camping/surfing and got pulled over by federales. They pulled out a bag of weed and said the fine is $$$$, you can pay it at the courthouse, or go to jail, or you can give us $ in cash right now. Between all of us we barely had half of the $ amount, but they ended up taking all of our music CDs with the cash we had and let us go. No signing of any paperwork though. Afterwards we were all asking each other whose weed it was. Turned out it belonged to none of us, they just planted it so they could get money out of us. We figured they saw the US license plates and saw easy money.

So today we went through Mexican Customs at the Airport in San Jose del Cabo. We were asked if we had any Alcohol or Tabacco. Patti spoke right up and said we had Nicotine Vapes. The Custom Agent asked why and how many. I replied about 25 for my personal use while in Mexico for 3 weeks. The Agent wished us a good stay and waived us through.

This just began on January 16 is what I hear. Another couple said a couple in their group argued with Mexican Customs about their vape pen and were deported. This group is from Canada.

It wasnt the cartridge but the vape pen that got them in trouble.
