I live about two and a half hours from this resort but have never traveled between St. Louis and Louisiana, Missouri. I can't imagine this area being a vacation area. Other than overlooking the Mississippi River, what is there to do in Clarksville (or at the resort)? I know it is fairly close to St. Louis and about an hour and a half from Hannibal but really is it worth trading into this location?:cheer:

We've been there twice, but didn't stay for a full week. Your analysis is pretty much accurate. Not a whole lot to do, except day trips to Hannibal or St. Louis.

There was a decent restaurant within a 5 or 10 minute drive. Can't recall the name of it though.

There's not much in the way of attractions other than what you identified. It may depend on when you want to go. There are wildlife and conservation areas. In winter you have eagle watching, and fall you have the colors and local harvest festivals.
