I booked a getaway week for a friend. It is their first ever timeshare stay. We found lots of mixed reviews. Can I request certain unit to make their stay more pleasant?

Many thanks for your help,

Jane

Offer some compensation

I have stayed a VV Westin which is right alongside VV Boniventure. Depending upon the season you are going, I have called ahead and spoken with someone in room reservations and told them I would remember them. That motivates someone to extend themselves. It has worked for me.

Good luck.

Dave

We were at Bonaventure last November. We stayed in the Sandpiper building. There is only one small pool shared for Sandpiper I and Sandpiper II buildings. I would request to get in the Heron I or II building which is part of Bonaventure. There are 2 heated pools and hot tub shared by both buildings. Whatever building you are in you can use any of the Weston resorts facilities. There are 3 resorts Weston, Bonaventure and Mitzner. Activities are shared from all 3 resorts. So on different days they will have activities moved to different resorts. We did water aerobics at the Heron pool couple times and at the Weston pool couple time. Also tell your friends to map the area and directions real good because you can get lost very easy. We had a hard time finding the resort the first time because we came in a different way and finally had to call the resort to get directions.

VVB or BON?

What is the difference between VVB and BON? In the TUG review they are listed together. I can book into either for the fall so does anyone have a preference?

VVB and BON are the same.

I own in one of the the Heron bldgs mentioned in post above. Have heard either of the Flamingo bldgs is okay if you are interested in golfing (located next to/across the way from the Flamingo bldg)

we stayed at the resort last Feb. I had read the reviews and was concerned, but my unit was nice. We had absolutely no choice, i called and requested and also asked at check in.
someone said something about two pools. You can't imagine how big some of the pools are. I did wter aerobics, 65 people were inthe class and we were in one quarter of the pool.
We took the day trip to miami and i would highly recommend it well worth the $49 cost,

i booked a getaway at the vacation villages and it was the WORST timeshare i have ever seen. I chose not to stay there. i would not sit on that couch for all the money in the world. there were dust bunnies on the floor and my grandmother's place was more updated. i rated it a 1. i am sure i won't get any money back but it was g-d awful.

i have stayed in almost all the other vacation villages and have been quite happy Las vegas & orlando. this was a mess.

which building where you in?
