Vacation time in Cancun

Hey all. So we are off from work and ready to vacation. Sadly I forgot to renew passports. I will renew then and then if like to head to Cancun.

Any suggestions for a luxury modern family friendly 2bdrm awesome kids activities place???

I'm also open to any suggestions for a place in the states that's worth the exchange.

@Talent312 No plans yet. We've done six flags, some restaurants in nyc korean hot pot and Brazilian steakhouse, glow bowling. We still want to do some bike trails so will probably head upstate. We have thrown around the idea of Niagara falls. And Vermont seems to offer some nice digs.

@Carol C . I have 120pts in RCI. And 2 weeks in II.

I wouldn't recommend Bel Air Collection in Cancun. The resort is in need of major renovation. I had a major issue with the hot tub, as you had to walk or leap across the bar to step into the hot tub. I remember fear of falling after it rained, as I walked down the hallway which was exposed to the elements. I would recommend the Royal Resorts or Villa del Palmar Cancun (VDPC). At VDPC you take a bus to the end of the line and transfer to another bus going to the hotel zone. The resort is in a remote northern section of Cancun, but it is paradise!

Keep in mind that Royal Sands is mandatory AI for exchangers. The Vidanta properties (Grand Luxxe, Grand Mayan) are somewhat isolated, so you may be eating on property more than you may be used to with other timeshare stays. So keep that in mind. If you have access to II, the Westin Lagunamar is a great choice, but don't expect any high season trades. Mostly off or shoulder season.
