I received a letter explaining my membership to vacation sidekick renews next month. I didn't know I was a member. The letter also claims that vacation sidekick is the new name for Worldmark by Wyndham my Savings of which I have never heard of and have no ideal of how I would be a paying member of.

Can anyone explain this or is it a scam ? If it is a scam the letter also claims that I can pay this through the WM portal. It also has my WM membership number.

not a scam - it's somewhat of an extension to the "Deals and Offers" at the top of ther Worldmark website. Under "Deals and Offers" then "Resort Deals" you can find inventory special, monday madness, BOGO, etc. I always thought the sales people used this to try to incentivize the purchase of membership..

I have this with Wyndham. It’s like the old Entertainment book. It has lots of coupons and discounted offers on just about anything anywhere, even in your neighborhood. Lots of eateries. If you’re a coupon clipper this is a good program. Can save you money on stuff you usually do and might like to try.

It's a good program if it's free. Most of the discounts I've seen through it I can find separately on the internet without paying a membership fee to get.

I originally got the predecessor program to Vacation Sidekick as a part of my VIP membership with Club Wyndham, though I can't recall what the name was before they changed it to Vacation Sidekick. After the first couple of months it just seemed like another password I would have to remember in order to access the coupons and the effort of remembering one more got to be more cost than the value I got from it.

Mine is free.

I guess our was too. Never used it. I did look at it today. I'm thinking we will pass because they want $99 to renew.
