Last December I bought a Floating Week at Tree Tops Resort in Gatlinburg TN for $28 with the 2018 maintenance fee paid.
Finally got the transfer done a few weeks ago.
I called Tree Tops to book a week so I could deposit it at RCI. I was told that the week I bought did NOT have the 2018 fees paid. Owners were told due to the fire that they would wave their 2018 fees, but if they wanted to book a week they would have to pay the 2018 maintenance fee.
Well, what I bought was not what I got!
Vacation Properties For Less said that they sold what they were told by whom ever they were selling it for.
I did NOT get what I bought!
I told the people at Vacation Properties For Less that I wanted my money back and since they violated the agreement they were getting the week back.
She agreed and will give me a refund.

So, I'm confused.

Given an unusual situation, the actual property was not paid for 2018 as advertised. That's bad. Did you verify the ownership before you paid?
After contacting the seller, they agreed to refund your money.

And now, you call this a scam?

Estoppel. Always ask for an estoppel. It will detail exactly what they own and what’s owed on the property.
