First time I have run into this. I am trying to book a holiday for next January in Pompano Beach, at Wyndham Santa Barbara. Nothing was available in a one bedroom. I then checked Worldmark and was referred to information specific to Wyndham points. Has it always been that you could only use retail Wydham point to book Worldmark? Is this something new due to Travel Up (Travel and Leisure)? Just curious as I have never had any difficulty booking a Wyndham Resort so far in advance. Any thoughts?

Not quite. Before it was only possible to use retail points, you couldn't use Wyndham points at all.

(But no, you could never use resale points for WM inventory.)

Check again at the 10 month mark; for January, that isn't until next month. A lot of the Pompano resorts are older, were originally sold as fixed weeks, and those cannot be booked during ARP/RARP by anyone else unless they've been recycled into CWA. I'm going to guess that very little January Santa Barbara inventory is in CWA.

Unless you are deeded to Santa Barbara, you an only book 10 months out -that would be check in of 12/7/2023.

Thank you Scootr5 and bnoble. What is interesting was that I was not able to book a one bedroom as I had wanted, but I was able to book a 2 bedroom and it is much earlier than 10 months. I will see if I can add a one bedroom as we get closer to the date. Will let you know.
