Using wife's [BONVOY] points, can I transfer them to me so I can book room?

I'm titanium and my DW is gold. BUT with a big trip upcoming I'm low on pts but she has plenty.

I know that she can transfer her pts to me so I can book a room BUT is there a way to do so without any fees?

It seems to me that they let me do that. If I remember correctly, it was once a year without any charge. Just give them a call.

Yes, you should be able to do that. Points are transferred in 1000 point increments up to a maximum of 100,000 points per year.

But unfortunately, that might only cover a relatively short hotel stay. Many hotels now "cost" a lot of points.

Just spoke with Marriott

They said I can transfer 100K /year from my wife's account without a fee.

I fixed this by cancelling a reservation I made for my son AND had my DW make the reservation instead. So I got the 145K pts back and used them for my Paris stay.

Can't your wife just make the reservation using her points?

If she makes the reservation, we may not the titanium benefits that my reservation would give us.

Looks like you already creatively solved your problem. In such cases, when I have used my wife to book because, for example, she had multiple free night certificates, I ask the front desk when checking in if they'll extend the Titanium benefits to us (she's only Silver) because of my status. We are 2 for 2 in doing so, but I would never count on them doing so.

Calling the front desk sounds like a great Idea. Thanks
