Using RCI points

Not that are worth it. Members used to be able to (maybe still can) book cruises, flights, hotel rooms and rental cars but better prices can be found by booking directly with the supplier. If you cant use all your points one year you can pay to extend them to the next use year then book a much larger or nicer place than you normally could with 1 years worth of points.

There is a limit on the number of points you can use for rental cars and cruises. I had a lot of Wyndham points and hoped to use a lot for a cruise. Couldn't use more than a very small percentage of what we had.

We used to be able to get Disney tickets with RCI Points. That was a deal for me because my RCI points were cheap enough back then to save money. I was considering the purchase of Bruce CZ's Dells UDI for that purpose alone.

You think you have things all figured out, but really you just have it figured out for now. Things change.

My car rental for Maui, using RCI, which does include all fees/ taxes. This is the best deal I could find, and now the prices are up, so I am very glad I got this one. I can cancel up to 48 hours before. I remember when Costco couldn't be beat. Now I rarely use Costco.

I don't see a way to use RCI points for a rental car unless I am missing something.

I don't believe (but maybe wrong) that you use the points, just book through RCI and pay cash.

We needed a 1 night stay at a hotel near the Miami airport for an early morning flight in December. I always look at hotels dot com and then the actual hotel site but this time I also decided to check out RCI. I dont remember if I clicked on Nightly Stays or Hotel stays, but I put our dates & location in and was able to get the same hotel I was looking at on hotels dot com for $20. cheaper by booking through RCI.

It will offer cash or points + cash. You only get a slight discount using RCI Points.

I used Wyndham/RCI portal. The price was the best I could find anywhere. I have done this quite a bit and have had great success.
