Does anyone have experience using Magellan Roadmate 760 GPS in Hawaii?? I use my unit all over the Mainland and Canada, but I can not verify whether my GPS maps will cover Hawaii. The machine was purchased in 2006.

Thanks from TheDuke

We have a Magellan Maestro and it works great here. You need to make sure that your maps cover Hawaii as it is a different setting than the mainland. The voice response is also impressive with the pronunciation of the Hawaii street names. We have been very happy with our Magellan.

We've got a Navigon and it's been extemely helpful driving about, and let me relax when driving in Hawaii.

Funny though, first time I used it in Hawaii was leaving the Kona airport when we arrived on Easter Sunday. We turned it on and the thing just didn't have a clue where it was. It just blinked and the map kind of moved around but it never settled down and told us where we were or helped us...UNTIL I pulled over and found the setting to utilize Hawaiian maps. :wall:

Then it was our best friend, bar none!
