Urgent Question - Recission Sent, Still Receiving Account Setup Emails - Worried about Next Steps

I'm hoping some of you with experience in timeshares or rescission processes can offer some insight into a situation I'm currently facing.

Recently, I attended a timeshare presentation and unfortunately signed a contract. After carefully reviewing everything, I realized it wasn't the right fit for me and immediately took action to rescind the agreement.

During that same week, I sent 2 formal rescission letter via certified mail (with return receipt requested) to the address specified in the contract. I also followed up with an email rescission to email listed in the contract. I have confirmation of both being sent.
However, despite sending these rescission notices, I am still receiving emails prompting me to sign in and set up my online account. This is making me confused.

My main concern is this: Would setting up my online account to see what information they are providing potentially jeopardize my rescission, even if I don't make any bookings or utilize any of the "benefits"? I'm worried that any interaction with their system, even just logging in, could be interpreted as acknowledging or accepting the contract after my rescission period.

Has anyone here been in a similar situation where they sent a rescission but continued to receive communication? What did you do? Did you set up the account? Did it affect your rescission in any way?

Any advice or insights you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I'm feeling a bit anxious about this and want to make sure I handle it correctly to ensure my rescission is fully processed.

Thanks in advance for your help!

This is usually a situation where two different departments are doing two different things. One department processes the rescission while there is a different department responsible for new account creation and setup. They won't be sending you anything related to the rescission through an online account, so I would say it is best advised to not take any additional action. Just let the rescission play out.

As noted above, ignore the account set up and just wait for your money to be returned. It would typically come back to the original form of payment. Nothing to see, nothing to do.
Stick around, consider joining this forum as a paid member and learn how the systems work.
