Upgrade logic has changed

I'm noticing the upgrade logic has changed in the last couple of weeks. Curious if anyone else has noticed this and maybe figured it out? I would like a handicap room, but the system will not allow me to book it. I know I can call, and they will likely honor the request, but I would rather have it booked to a handicap.

Here are the choices:

When I chose either the 1bedroom suite - Hearing impared, OR the 1 bedroom suite - mobility,hearing impaired I get the same upgrade choices.

I understand that if I select the 1 bedroom suite - Mobility,hearing that I may be asking for a same unit upgrade. But, the 1bedroom - hearing should be a different room.

Any ideas???
 
What resort is this?

If you can’t book the upgrade online, it would not surprise me if they couldn’t either. The ability to override the system seems very limited.
 
I'd play with it, if you give more info (resort, dates). My experience with the handicap units, when I did try to figure it out, was hit and miss, depending on the resort. When I did, the units had to be exactly the same (mobility, hearing impaired would only upgrade to a mobility, hearing impaired). A mobility would not upgraded to a mobility, hearing impaired (it would only upgrade to a mobility). That may vary on the resort? I thought a 1 bedroom deluxe should allow an upgrade to a handicap unit, but WYN didn't think so (thus handicapped units may take more points). Maybe that has changed? Too bad WYN doesn't provide any insight, whatsoever.

And who wouldn't like to see the 1 Bedroom Deluxes upgrade to 1 Bedroom Presidentials again? We lost that 2 years ago, but doesn't feel like anyone at Wyndham is listening.
 
The following "upgrade logic" was new to me. It wasn't like this a few weeks ago....
I saw recently where a 1br suite would upgrade into a 3bedroom (3 bedrooms 16k) before it would upgrade into a Lockoff (2 bedrooms 17K). This wasn't an issue of not allowing self upgrade - there were plenty of 1br units available. I think it was points. The 3br was less points than the lockoff - so it was allowing me to upgrade into the 3br.
This was at Wyndham Grand Desert where they have 1br, 1dx, 2dx, LO, 3br, 4br, and some presidential 2br, 3br, 4br.
As requested above - I tried to find an example, but was unable to. There were 2dx for all the dates I tried.
 
I have upgraded the lowest level 1BRs at Nashville and Bali Hai this week to 2BR deluxe.
The Bali Hai one was to solve a frustration when the system. As it upgraded my 1 BR upper to a 2 BR lower. Called about why the system did not match my location when it upgraded to a 2 BR. They have no clue and could not fix it, so I cancelled and rebooked for less points. Of course they got another $19.
