upgrade at WKORV/WKORV-N?

I saw a huge sale from Continental airline to Hawaii and then I saw many units disappear in II.
Wkorv starts Saturday but FF mile reservation is on Sunday arriving to HNL. Looking at airfare to Maui, probably reserve from Hawaiian Air.
Staying 2 weeks and 5 days leaving on Friday from HNL. I could stay at Maui through the whole vacation or I can come to HNL and stay few days. (FF miles not redeemed yet but tonight is due date)

I don't feel comfortable giving specific dates. sorry.

I thought you canceled your WKORV exchange?

Have you tried to book all the way through to Maui - you may still have a lay-over but sometimes it saves money or FF miles to book all the way through - if possible.

I did cancel...which I regret but I only had 24 hours to make up my mind and I haven't redeemed my mileage yet.
I tried to goto Maui but the least FF miles were 45k not 35k to HNL.
I wonder if there is any 35k going to Maui.

That's too bad - with some airlines it's the same # of miles if you book it on one reservation, but I know nothing about booking from the East Coast.

Good luck making your reservation - I'm making one tonight too, so good luck to both of us! :D

35k saver awards are drying up. In the past I snagged 6 of these. For my July '08 there were none available so I ended up spending 75k per ticket for a coach/first class combination ticket.

If you see some for 45k I'd snag them. Airfare to Hawaii is about a grand these days.

I wished I didn't cancel my 2bd Westin. Now I need it and not sure if I will get it. I guess I just have to wait.

What do most people use for Inter island flight? Hawaiin air? I think there is connection with Delta and Hawaiin air. What do you think about super ferry?
There is an infant within the group.

The Superferry takes 2 or 3 times as long and costs nearly as much. Some people have reported rough seas and motion sickness. We like Hawaiian Air - especially with a baby, you don't want to prolong the trip after a long flight from the East Coast.

There are a few smaller operations in the area, but Hawaiian Air is what I've always chosen.

if you continue your flight by purchasing Hawaiin Air, do you pay bag fees separately or would that be free since it's continuing from your origin location and you already pay for it with your fees.
These bag fees confuses me.
I know if you fly internationally, they shouldn't charge you again when you book a continuous flight to/from another US location.

If you booked the itineraries separately, then you'll have to pay a separate fee to each airline. You'll also have to fetch your baggage from the carrousel and take it to the Hawaiian Air terminal yourself.

If you book them as one continuous trip, however, you'll avoid the extra luggage fee. And you won't have to bother with the luggage. However, these extra legs are usually expensive in terms of miles needed and most FFers don't think it's worth the miles. So most people book the intra-island flights separately and pay cash.

Yes, call and let the resort know that you will be arricving a day late....your villa is ready by 4pm on the check-in day so if you get there at 8am the next day, you should be able to get right into your villa.
