I arrived sick went straight to urgent care. Bronchitis. It was not really a one bedroom. My poor husband could not get far enough away to not hear my incessant cough. That was my gripe.
Yes, a glorified large studio With a cute gas fireplace, balcony and ocean view.
In New York, we would call it a railroad flat.
One room running into the other all in a row.

Sorry you were sick, but it is a truly oceanfront resort with great views from the second floor rooms of the ocean and the dunes.

I'll be interested to read about your experience. I understand that the units are quite small and we prefer the "other side" of the Cape as it is less commercial and we love walking out on the flats of the bay at low tide. Still, but we have considered using points or bonus time to stay at the Soundings.

Edgewater beach has studios #701-716 across the street from the main resort with no ocean view to speak of and the rooms are tiny. The best views are units 233-236 (2nd floor 1 bedroom) and closest to the shore, the ground floor units 133-136 have a somewhat dune obstructed view. The 200 numbered units are all 2nd floor and have a better view than the ground floor 100 numbered units. There are no elevators. We have a exchange there for October.

We aren't going to swim - we go to Hawaii for that. We went to Cape Cod in Sept. 2 years ago and really enjoyed it.

Now I'm really confused. o_O Are any of them all Oceanview/Oceanfront?

The Cape is a nice destination location without a doubt. Our entire family and extended family vacationed in Wellfleet every summer, in the cabins built into the huge dunes, when I was growing up. I have very fond memories of the Cape. I had a great Uncle that bought a house right on the water just on the other side of the Cape canal - so technically not on the Cape itself - but really close - we got married young at age 23 and used that house for our honeymoon since we were broke at that age. I'm glad I found this thread as I want to get back up to the Cape at some point and having recommendations on timeshares/units is great! :)

Were you seeing this under the Exchange section within RCI? I'm a Wyndham owner using my Wyndham RCI account and I don't see any Exchange availability listed for this resort - perhaps I don't see the same availability since I'm not actually exchanging a traded property? I'm not that familiar with how RCI works....

Yes - I made the exchange on RCI using weeks/TPU, and they had several weeks available in the fall.

Since we live in CA, we wouldn't get enough use out of it.
