There are NO DVC resorts on the II website this morning. This is the first time I have ever seen this. There are always SSR weeks available if nothing else. Today, nada, zilch..nothing, not even a studio. Could it be that DVC has pulled all exchanges out of II before the Dec 31st deadline?
There are some Vero Beach on II, as well as DVC in HH, so maybe they have stopped posting in Orlando only. I hope this is a computer glitch. I was hoping to snag a week before they pulled the plug. That's why I got up so early this morning. I could have gotten a Sept in DVC's Old Key West yesterday but opted to wait and see what else showed up before Dec 31st. I'm hoping that wasn't faulty thinking.
There are a couple units now in SSR for Sept, I just looked.
I think it's a combination of factors. DVC stopped accepting ongoing serarches on the announcement date, and some II members (including a few here) decided to grab as much as they could while they could. So, demand has gone up, but supply has gone down.
Thanks Brian, they must have just posted those two SSR. We stayed at SSR last week and had a good time but never need to return there. Thanks for the post.
I spoke to an II rep last night and she told me that DVC is no longer making "bulk" deposits directly to II, however DVC owners may still deposit to II before the year ends, so a few additional weeks may pop up from time to time, but odds are the end is near in terms of DVC weeks available through II
II says they are done with DVC --STARTING TODAY!!! NOT DEC 31
I called II to cancel the Sept 20th, 1 bedroom, DVC SSR I got with my Foxrun two bedroom this morning. I decided that even though it was worth a little more than my Foxrun I didn't want to stay at SSR and I don't want to go to WDW in Sept again.
When I spoke to the advisor she said that I shouldn't have been allowed to make that reservation since II and DVC have parted ways. I asked her about the reservation I have for February and she said that one will be fine. BUT GOING FORWARD YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RESERVE ANYTHING AT DISNEY VACATION CLUB. I asked about the dropdead date of Dec 31st but she said they will not honor it and will not make any more exchanges into DVC.
There is currently a DVC unit available for Sept. My guess is that you got a rep who gave you some wrong info. I have a current request in for DVC and today I added dates to the request with no problem.
I just got off the phone a half hour ago. She claimed that they would be canceling any reservations made after this afternoon. Now she could be wrong, but that's what she said.
Wyndham Founder; Disney OKW & SSR; Marriott's Willow Ridge, Shadow Ridge and Grand Chateau; Val Chatelle, Pines at Meadow Ridge and Twin Rivers in CO; Hono Koa OF (3); SBR(LOTS), SDO a few); WKORV-OFC-4 and Westin Desert Willow.

I don't believe it. There are several DVC units available for exchange right now. If they were planning to bail out early, they would just remove the inventory. Why leave the inventory in place and allow members to go through with the exchange, just to cancel it?
I'm guessing they have a binding contract with DVC until year-end.
So who are they going to do exchanges with now.. RCI,, or one of the independent guys.. that would be a hoot for DVC to go with DAE...
that would start a mass exit of guys from RCI for sure...
wishful thinking, wishful thinking, wishful thinking... now to just wait and see if it comes true...
