Any feedback on the quality of the hotel? Any requests I should make?

I know nothing about this resort other than where it is and what I see on-line. It's not quite in the French Quarter -- it's on the wrong side of Esplanade. We've been to jazz concerts at the N.O. Jazz Museum in the old US Mint, across Esplanade from your hotel.

It gets good reviews on TripAdvisor.com. Parking is FREE!!! ($36/night at Quarter House. You can buy a bunch of hurricanes for $36/night.)

We've been to jazz concerts at the N.O. Jazz Museum in the old US Mint, across Esplanade from your hotel.

I can guarantee the US Mint there is about the only place you will ever see a National Park Ranger playing Jelly Roll Morton on a piano in the middle of an afternoon to pass the time.
