My $0.02 worth
has anyone had dealings with the above company or ri stroman they are offering me a week that is not listed on their web site
I believe that Universal Resort Escrow is a law firm which does work for Stroman and that the law firm is Rice & Rice, located within the very same building as Stroman in Conroe, Texas.
Lots of folks will surely have lots of negative things to say about Stroman. Stroman ads on various Internet sites are often incomplete and/or factually inaccurate in describing the particular timeshare at issue, for example, and Wayne Stroman himself has been in and out of court (including federal court last year) --- but has yet to be convicted of any wrondoing, as far as I know. I'm not waving the Stroman flag here, I'm just reporting the facts as I know them and my own limited personal experience.
That said, I purchased one of my timeshares through Stroman, at a bargain price and without a hitch of any kind. I opted to use a different closing company than Universal Resort Escrow, but still had to pay Universal $100 to basically just forward my deposit and paperwork along to the closing company which I wanted to use instead for deed preparation and recording. That $100 may not have been particularly well spent, but the purchase was a steal, so I "ate" that seemingly unnecessary cost without complaint.
My advice, based upon my own personal experience with Stroman, is to ask a lot of questions and be
very certain about exactly what you are buying. Review the current deed for yourself before proceeding, if at all possible. Beyond being cautious and very attentive to each and every detail, I personally see no reason not to proceed, if the deal on the table is truly right for you. I would deal with Stroman again myself without any hesitation, if they had something of interest to me at the right price. Just be sure to do your homework and "fact check" diligently, so that you don't end up closing on something entirely different from what you
thought you were buying....
