We are headed to GV in March.
I can print the layout of GV, but it's hard to tell sight lines, tree blockage, etc.

DW and I like to go out on the deck and watch golfers as they putt out on a hole.

Can anyone suggest which buildings/units might be closest to view one of the greens (Grande Pines Golf Course---'not any practice greens').

Thanks,
Pat

Grande Pines doesn't go around any of the buildings at Grande Vista, it is located across the street and surrounds Cypress Harbour. The course you see around Grande Vista is the Nick Faldo Golf Institute. A nine hole instructional course.

Looking at the map and from experience, it doesn't seem that there are many options where you will have a good view of a golf green. Building 97 has a distant view if you are on a high floor. The view overlooks the pool there. It looks like 92 or 91 may also have some views in the near distance over the pool and small pond. 89 may also be good but it isn't real close to the main complex.

A coworker is going there in two weeks; I will ask her to check out the complex.

She will be in a 2BR.

We will be in a 3BR---will that be an 'end' unit?

There are some buildings (most?) where the 3BR units are on the end. But it has also been mentioned that there are some in the middle as well.

We go every year and like you, we like to watch the golfer. I always ask for building 91 or 92. The 3BR in those units are on the end. You will get a decent view of the 6th hole. It's a short hole so you'll get to watch the golfers tee off in the distance, and have a better view of them putting.

I can't comment on the other suggestions since we've never stayed in any of those buildings.
