The Times of London reported tonight that Boris Johnson, who was diagnosed with COVID-19 ten days ago, has been moved into ICU because of breathing problems. With all that our friends across the pond have been through in the past few years, losing their leader would be a huge blow. I, for one, am praying for his speedy recovery.
 
I am also praying that he has a full and speedy recovery. He is expecting a child with his partner. It would be extra sad if his child does not have a dad.
 
agreed. I just saw Boris' partner is also showing symptoms of Covid.
 
He is a head of a country. They will take no chances. In ICU he will be watched constantly. Hopefully he recovers.
 
Hopefully all recover but sadly that has not been the case. It seems countries who have not taken this seriously enough are now paying the price. It seems no country has taken it seriously enough.
 
I see the Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has been asked to “deputise where necessary”.

sure, everyone wishes Mr. Johnson a full and speedy recovery
the article said he should not have followed his previous advice and as a consequence possibly infected others ....


"his macho swagger would be hilarious if the repercussions weren’t so lethal. Who knows how many
people Mr. Johnson infected with his blithe ignorance, including potentially his fiancée. "
 
I heard that the death rate of peep who go into ICU with COVID-19 is 50%
(65% for peep put on a ventilator).

Johnson, however, may be in better condition than most ICU patients.
We dunno.

Unfortunately, I bet everyone who gets Covid-19 has infected someone. It seems unavoidable even for the most meticulous people given symptoms do not show up or show up later plus a high R0.

Maybe not everyone but the infection rate is certainly high enough to cause a pandemic
 
Good news! Boris Johnson has been released from the ICU and appears to be improving.
