Anyone had any experiences catching an Uber from the Mayan resorts in Riviera Maya? (Or any big resort in RM?)

Thanks!
V

yes - did not work. there is a fight between uber and the taxi union thus our experience was to not use uber and stick with taxis. they are prohibited from entering airport property. being that RM is further away there were never any drivers around. taxis were everywhere.

hope this helps

Uber technically does not have the proper licenses to operate in the Riviera Maya. I suspect they would not be allowed to enter the resort to pick you up. You would probably have to go out to the main road to be picked up. Just stick with the taxis.

Recently while in Mexico, wanted to use Uber -- couldn't figure out how to get my phone to connect to local Uber. What is the trick?
