I'm sure it's just me, but I find this question rhetorical, funny, and somewhat revealing.

You're asking for help to establish set up of a device that is supposed to provide help with simple tasks? Such a pity you can't simply ask your device for help?

It has occurred to me that this was bought for my husband, but there is no way he is going to remember the name Alexa. If I give it my name, it will be waking up and answering requests constantly.

I find it annoying that, for many changes, Alexa tells you to use the app.
I'm like, "You should be able to do that yourself."

I also think she should be able to admit making mistakes.
She should say, "Yeah, I said there'd be no rain, but I was wrong."

I got an Amazon Dot because it came free with my Ring Video doorbell. When I got notified that Amazon delivered a package today I asked Alexa what was in the package. She said "I'm sorry, I can't answer that for you until after the first of the year. It might spoil a surprise." Alexa must have learned how to stay one step ahead of clever kids.
