Trying to join SFX

I tried to join SFX and received an email saying my resort doesn't qualify. But it is Plantation Beach Club at South Seas, which is listed as one of the resorts available through them. I called and asked about it. After talking to the guy for about 10 minutes, he finally said he'd have to check into it and promised to get back to me. Never heard a word. Anybody have a similar experience?
Thanks...

Yes -SFX only excepts deposits from high demand resorts, during high season. They may just have a back-log of inventory from your resort, and can't use more right now.

It's not only the resort, but the weeks that you own there. I own floating weeks at my resorts so I pick the prime time for my week each year and SFX will accept that. If I tried to deposit a fall week in Orlando, I'm sure they'd say no thanks.

Thanks. Although one of the weeks is Thanksgiving week. Whatever. I guess I'll scratch SFX off my list and stick with RCI. Thanks for your replies.

Most schools only close 2 days for Thanksgiving, so a week in Florida is not going to be possible for most families at Thanksgiving - and families are your main target. Christmas, New Years, or Easter Week (week before or after) would be stronger deposits.

Or Trading Places or Platinum Interchange or Hawaii Timeshare Exchange (they have lots of good mainland exchanges as well). The "alternative" exchange companies score big points on customer service!

I also own at a floating week resort. I always reserve prime summer weeks, usually the July 4th week, for deposit to SFX. The July 4th week is the top trader.

Does room size matter in SFX? I know it did with II....

SFX will generally not accept studios unless they are urban properties in select locations. As a Platinum member you can get a free upgrade in size if available. I have received upgrades to a 2BR unit a few time when I requested it.
