Just did owners update in Sedona. Seems like the latest sales tactic is “trust disclosure”.
We were offered 5000 trust points at $4.00 a point because we weren’t given the offer prior to the end date of Jan 1, 2025. (current rate is $8.00 per point) Sounded like there were some advantages-expanded booking window through DEX, ability to use with current Max membership, 7500 bonus points, supposedly more availability (DEX?) but pretty steep maintenance $1299 for 2026.
Anyone else heard, gone this route? Thoughts about DEX?
All replies appreciated!

The trust points are old Diamond Resorts, not worth the MF cost, or purchase cost in most TUG estimation. You'd want to head over to the Diamond / Hilton Vacation Club forum to learn more. For DEX it's generally thought getting a affiliate resort like Craig in Scotland gets you that, more HGVC points as an option, and a really good MF/point ratio. Also cheaper to close.

Yeah, the trust is a former Diamond Resorts points product. Now called Hilton Vacation Club. There is a separate forum for this. While there may be some benefits, the cost is way to high and the maintenance fees are not in line with the accommodations.

If you want DEX, a deeded week at a resort that exchanges in DEX is a better option. The affiliate mentioned in the prior post is a good option. Its full name is Craigendarroch Lodges if you want to search for it on the forums. Polo Towers and Sedona Summit deeded resales may also be a good way to go for DEX.

Don't buy trust points. I've been offered as low as $2.20 per point with other perks such as a two-year Centum trial. Only buy deeds. Run away.

You can get Embarc points resale (TUG has some in their ads) for peanuts and all Embarc members get DEX for free, even resale. Easy to get rid of either by giving away or selling (contrary to many Diamond locations) and only $250usd to do a transfer.

And Embarc trust MFs are much cheaper than HVC trust MFs.
